In a statement made by a member of the committee who decided to speak in cameral, it was gathered that the NADESTU body is under seriosi turmoil. 

It is no longer news that the long anticipated   NADESTU  fresher's party which ought to hold today in the prestigious Federal University of Petroleum Resources for her Delta state indigenes and well wishers was postponed suddenly. Information reaching our desk revealed that a sitting was held today with regards to the communiqué that had been passed alleging a vote of no confidence on the national president of NADESTU. 

This morning,  the NADESTU president of FUPRE, comrade Edema Boye, as well as the SUG president, Ighoefewo Collins were called to be informed of the latest development that the Delta state government has placed a ban on all NADESTU activities with immediate effect and till further notice. 

They  were further invited to the office of the DSS and several issues were raised. It is remarkable to note that even the CSO of FUPRE was not left out.

 
The condition given by the DSS  for the observation of the NADESTU fresher's party is that there must be concrete assurance by the body that adequate security personnel will be on ground throughout the entire event. A written documentation was required to this effect. 

These and further issues are still pending and a matter of concern, both to the SUG and the NADESTU executives. All hands are on deck to ensure that these glitches are overcome in the shortest possible time with minimal damages.
